Piraiki - Patraiki has already passed in history. Not only because “it dressed” Greece. But because in her 60-yearold course is also mirrored the way in which the Greek industry developed in the bigger part of 20th century. Up to 1984 it is included with the eminent law of 1386 as “problematic”, it has passed from almost every economic adventure. As Patraiki it had survived from the crises of overcharge enterprises during Interwar. As Piraiki – Patraiki similar shocks of the 50’s decade with the «frozen funds». But it also experienced the relevant financial crises of the early 60’s. The fourth time of crises it did not manage to hold on even more.. The P-P brings together the key features, which illustrate a typical company:

    1) for the deindustrialization of 80’s decade

    2) for the problems occurred in the 90’s decade between nationalizations and privatisations

    3) for problematic, that their former householders sought to be characterized and faced as such so that they profit
economically and regain by their repurchase from themselves later.

The building of the paperindustry Ladopoulos, is one of the most historic, perhaps, workplaces Patras but also the most forgotten. Since 1928 and for decades the company employed hundreds of workers while the paperindustry itself is one of the largest in the Balkans. Since 1974 in Greece everything changed. The changeover brings great changes both in everyday life and the workplace. In the early '90s, with the deindustrialisation of the city and almost of the entire country, the factory closed, writing the conclusion of industrial chapter of Patras. In 1998 the municipality of Patras purchased the building complex of the factory and in 2006 its premises are re-used by «Patras Cultural Capital 2006» [administration offices-reportsstores]. Now an exhibition space is available in the very same premises.
