…from Arta to Radovizia…

The road on the east of Arta leads us to the villages of Radovizia, rich in natural beauty and traditions. Just before the village Peta, where it’s worth visiting the Female Agricultural Handicraft Association and the Folklore Museum, we can enjoy the warm hospitality of the monks of the monastery of Theotokio.
Our next stop is the village Skoulikaria and the church of the Assumption of Theotokos, in a cell of which Zoitsa Dimiski gave birth to the captain of 1821 Georgios Karaiskakis. Ascending to Ano Kalentini, we reach a road paved with gravel which leads to the Monastery of Panaghia Rovelista, where the miracle-working icon of Panaghia Moschovitissa is found. Astrochori, Miliana, Grevia, and Piges are some of the villages where visitors can taste delicious, traditional dishes before they reach the historic Monastery of Seltsos, perched on the mountain above the river Acheloos.
